Minutes of MEETING of the Assets Committee held on Monday 18th June 2012

WHITES FIELD COMMUNITY HALL

WF.1 Proposed extension was discussed. To be discussed again at the next Planning Committee

WF.2 Improvements required on kitchen area and deep clean required.

WF.3 Improvements to field and access to building to be discussed with the proposed extension and building access at the Planning Committee.

 

 

HILL ROAD RECREATION BUILDING

HRR.1 Bookings for usage of hall were discussed. A small charge to now be issued for the hire of the building as its recently been updated with toilet and sink facilities. R B Pickard to be asked to clean the building also. Hire charge to be discussed at the F&GP Committee.

 

 

PLAYING FIELDS

PF.1 Proposed Gym Equipment was discussed. It was agreed to put this project on hold unless any funding opportunities are successful.

PF.2 Agreed location for the skate park which is being situated behind the hedge before the first tree on the Station Road side of the Playing Fields. The order has been placed and a deposit has been paid. A new pathway needs to be laid – a tarmac quote has been obtained for over £3000.00; more quotes for tarmac or concrete to be obtained.  

Installation date is planned for before the summer holidays.

 

 

FLOWER BEDS:

FB.1 The Clerk updated the Committee on garden area by the Indian Restaurant on Keens Lane – the owner of the restaurant has agreed ownership of the garden area and will maintain the garden so Sow n Sow will no longer be paid for maintenance. The Christmas tree and notice board can remain on this site.

FB.2 Request from Sow n Sow to hire machinery for Estover Way Wildlife area – this was not approved or agreed until more information has been obtained.

 

 

CLERKS REPORT

CR.1 SODC – Operation CleanlinessA deep cleanse promise was detailed over 2 months ago. Chinnor has still not got a date and SODC are now suggesting October / November as they are just too busy to do it before! The weeds in the village are terrible and disgraceful – The Clerk to obtain quotes for a professional weed killer team to work on the village. To be discussed on F&GP.
