Minutes of the Meeting of AMENITIES COMMITTEE held via Zoom on Monday 27th April 2020

4. To approve the minutes of the Amenities Committee: 24th February 2020
Proposed by Cllr Edwards, seconded by Cllr Oliver. All in favour.
5. Footpaths and Open Spaces
5.1 The Clerk has received complaints regarding the tree lined narrow pathway between Bellway Estate and Crowell – bikes are being ridden on this narrow pathway. Alan Brawn (Footpath Officer) to investigate and temporary signs to be put up requesting No Bikes.
The Clerk to obtain a copy of all footpaths in the area to assist residents with routes.
6.1 Nothing to report regarding new community allotments at NK Homes development
6.2 Chinnor allotments – Lease currently with the solicitor
Boundary Fencing – failing at Willow End – quotes being obtained
Tree – request from neighbour for felling – no issue found and the tree to remain in situ.
7. Play Areas
7.1 Due to Covid-19 and on recommendation of the government, the MUGA, St Andrews and Conigre play areas have been locked and notices to 'not use' have been placed on the play equipment at Old Kiln Lakes and the fitness equipment that cannot be locked.
7.2 New bin at Whites Field Youth Shelter and St Andrews Play area have been installed.
To note, prior to locking this play area, it had not deterred the dumping of household rubbish bags in the St Andrews play area.
8. Youth Matters – No matters to discuss
9.1 Annual Assembly – 24th March 2020 - postponed due to Covid-19
9.2 August Marquee hire for 2020 cannot proceed until further notice of information from the government with regard to Covid-19
9.3 VE Day celebrations – 8th May 2020 postponed due to Covid-19. Residents to be encouraged to have Stay at Home Street Party in their own front gardens
10. Sports Field / Pitches
CYFC has no intention to mow the pitches at Whites Field until their grounds man is out of isolation. CPC has taken on this task in the interest of H&S and public well-being.
