Minutes of a Meeting of the ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE held in the PARISH CHAMBER, COMMUNITY PAVILION, STATION ROAD, CHINNOR on Monday 20th August 2018

Chinnor Open Spaces
5.1 Thank you to Greening Chinnor for the community garden on Station Road
5.2 Update on annual RoSPA report for each play area we own / manage – Cllr Ashdown to review all minor repairs with the maintenance team. Quotes to be obtained for long term project of surface renewal.
5.3 Update on winter salt bins – increased number for the village – locations agreed.
5.4 Update on bench purchase – WW1 bench is being applied for through Art project monies and also memory bench for Doveleat has been ordered.
5.5 Cllr Ashdown to meet the Maintenance team to discuss the best way forward for the Memorial garden by Village Centre which will be maintained by CPC now.
5.6 WW1 commemorative sapling has been ordered.
6.1 Update on current youth club attendance – deferred to next meeting.
6.2 Enhancement of youth facilities – discussion paper – deferred to next meeting.
7.1 Awards Night –21st August 2018 – Marquee event
All items in hand and event organisation progressing well.
7.2 August Bank Holiday Marquee Events
Volunteer to pop down tomorrow to check on progress of marquee
Friday daytime and Sunday afternoon slots are still free.

8.1 Christmas 2018 – this is the last year for the light contract – quotes to be obtained for alternative styles of tree in the Pavilion for 2018 and options for further festive items.
8.2 Chinnor Guide 2018 – all complete – has been delivered by Royal Mail
8.3 Speedwatch – training evening 29th August at 7pm
