Minutes of Meeting of the ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE held on Monday 28th October 2019

3. Public Question Time: 2 members of the public were present
Fiona Mantle introduced Matthew to the Committee. Matthew has recently completed the App for the Emergency Plan – on android phones only at present. Thanks were given to Matthew for all of his hard work and to Fiona for continuing the coordination of the Emergency Plan. Details of the app to be added to the website.
Apple phones won't accept the App yet due to restraints being investigated.
4. Minutes of the Environment Committee dated:
23rd September 2019 – proposed by Cllr Wright and seconded by Cllr Williams.

5. Chinnor Youth Matters
5.1 The next meeting date for Youth Council working group: 10th December 2019
5.2 Statement from Cllr Standage regarding Youth Council was noted.
5.3 OCC Youth Opportunity Fund: All councillors to consider funding available and any project or other groups who may qualify to submit an application.
6. Environmental Policy
6.1 Cllr Williams proposed to accept the policy and recommendation for adoption at Full Council 04.11.19. Seconded by Cllr Oliver. All in favour.
6.2 Action Plan – to be discussed by the working group at their next meeting.
7. Other Matters
7.1 Cllr Oliver reported on the completed tree survey – in the minute's file. New trees to be ordered and planted on National Tree Day on 30th November, this will be a new copse in Hill Road Recreation area with the agreed £500. Proposed by Cllr Oliver and seconded by Cllr Wright. All in favour. To be finalised at Full Council.
7.2 VE Day 75th Anniversary 2020 – Community Leaders to discuss at their next meeting. The community pavilion is interested in hosting a party in the park type of community event. Suggested CPC support the event by undertaking the booking for Chinnor Silver Band.
7.3 Request for recycle litter bins to be around the village in prime locations was discussed. CPC to contact both Biffa and Grundon to understand how the waste is currently dealt with prior to any decisions being made.
7.4 Bledlow Household Recycling Centre Action Group – Press Release was noted.
7.5 Skate park – correspondence to date was discussed regarding the consultation.
7.6 Fungi reported in Conigre play area advice to be sought for best way of dealing with this.
7.7 It was agreed that the Environment Committee will be re-named to the Amenities Committee, with Environment issues as a separate subject on each agenda.
