Minutes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on Monday 15th June 2020

7. Contracts / Quotations
7.1 PCJ will be fitting the barrier at Community Pavilion 19th June – once fitted the gate to be kept locked until the Pavilion re-opens to the public.
7.2 To consider quotation and options for fence work at Allotments – further quotes still required.
7.3 Traffic Calming Report – is out for quotes prior to public consultation.
7.4 Electronic payment system for CPC Office – Cllr Williams proposed to accept the quote for
Sum-Up at a total of £129.00 for machine which prints a receipt, seconded by Cllr Wright.
A charge of 1.69% per transaction was agreed. The Clerk to process the order as soon as possible.
8.1 CPC community grants – application forms are now available – completed forms to be returned to CPC by 30th June 2020. To date 28 applications forms have been sent out and two completed forms returned. Working group to meet prior to the next F&GP meeting and recommendation to be presented and agreed.
9. Other Communications and General Purposes:
9.1 August Bank Holiday Marquee Event – to note that the 2020 event has been cancelled as agreed by Full Council 01.06.20. Cancellation invoice will be the deposit for next years' marquee hire.
9.2 Communication – to note that 2nd edition of lock down book and copy of newsletter was delivered by Street friends to residents 10.06.20. 1000 copies only were available and were very well received. Thank you to all of those involved in distributing the CPC Newsletter and Lockdown books.
The Pump is planning their next edition and first since lockdown to be out end of July 2020, allowing for Government guidelines.
9.3 End of lease 31.05.20 for 36 Station Road was noted. A full check on the building to be made and agreed by the Landlord prior to the deposit being refunded to Fight Bladder Cancer.
9.4 Covid-19 Update:
The Pavilion Committee are meeting to discuss opening from 4th July, reduced hours – if sustainable.
CPC office is scheduled to re-open on 6th July, if Government guidelines allow. To discuss nearer the time if this will be reduced hours / days. Barrier protection to be installed soon and hand sanitizer to be purchased. Cleaning regime to be agreed especially for toilets and public areas. The decorating of the office has been completed and looking lovely.
Whites Windmill Café are planning to reopen on 4th July for takeaway and outside seating.
No date yet for CPC meetings to be able to resume inside.
