Minutes of a Meeting of the FULL COUNCIL held on Monday 3rd February 2020
1. Apologies for absence: Cllr Wright (SODC Planning Committee meeting), Cllr Gray
2. Declarations of Interest: None
3. Public Question Time: 1 member of the public was present.
Concerns were raised over the withdrawal of PCSO funding from the new financial year.
Cllr Williams and Cllr Flint explained the reasons behind the funding withdrawal and the conversations over the past few years regarding this ongoing contribution. CPC believes that the police presence in the community will not be compromised due to the withdrawal of our funding.
4. County Councillor and District Council Reports
District Councillor Lynn Lloyd reported on the grant funding in our Parish and a number of local organisations have applied and were successful. SODC budgets maybe tight going forward and unsure if grants will be available for the new financial year.
County Councillor Jeanette Matelot gave a report on ongoing local issues – in minute's file.
5. Minutes of the last Full Council Meeting:
Cllr Flint proposed to accept the Minutes of the Full Council Meeting held on 6th January 2020. Seconded by Cllr Young.
Vote – 10 in favour. Cllr Archer abstained.
6. Minutes of Committees: The minutes from the following committee meetings were noted:
a) Planning Committee held on 13th January 2020
b) Finance and General Purposes Committee held on 20th January 2020
c) Amenities Committee held on 27th January 2020
7. Outside Reports
7.1 Cllrs Ashdown, Archer and Flint to report on Lord Williams school off timetable morning they attended. In the minute's file.
7.2 Greening Chinnor Committee meeting 28th January 2020 attended by Cllr Ashdown. In the minute's file.
7.3 Cllr Williams attended the interview sessions for the new Vicar and was pleased to report that the Curate – Jacky Barr has been offered the positon and will take on her new role in the summer.
7.4 Cllr Williams attended the PCSO Have your Say session on 1st February 2020. In the minute's file.
8. Communications – To receive communications as the Clerk may wish to present.
8.1 Cllr Ridgley reported on the re-instatement of water supply on the Playing Fields – awaiting two quotes before funding from S106 can be agreed.
