Minutes of the Meeting of the FULL COUNCIL MEETING held in the PARISH CHAMBER, COMMUNITY PAVILION, STATION ROAD, CHINNOR on Monday 3rd September 2018

Public Question Time – No public were present


District and County Councillors' Reports:

C/Cllr Matelot reported on the partnership between OCC and Cherwell DC

C/Cllr Matelot reported that OCC Highways manager, Keith Stenning, has been promoted.

C/Cllr Matelot will contact all relevant departments regarding the Station Road bridge issue as the situation is now ridiculous and action needs taking immediately on a H&S issue for our residents.


Minutes of the last meeting: Minutes of the Full Council Meeting held on 6th August 2018 were proposed by Cllr Ashdown, seconded by Cllr Wright and signed by Cllr Williams.


Minutes of Committees: Minutes of the following committee were approved

Neighbourhood Plan Review held on 2nd August 2018 signed by Cllr Williams

Finance and General Purposes held on 13th August 2018 signed by Cllr Flint

Planning held on 20th August 2018 signed by Cllr Wright

Environment on 20th August 2018 signed by Cllr Ashdown


7. Christmas 2018

7.1 The Christmas Eve carol event will be held in the Pavilion. Tree choices were discussed. Cllr Haywood proposed a real 15ft tree to be located at the pavilion. Seconded by Cllr Flint. All in favour.


8. Communications –

8.1 The Volunteer Award Night was a huge success – thanks to all involved. Cllr Williams proposed remainder of sponsor money will be given to Chinnor Silver Band. Seconded by Cllr Ashdown. All in favour.

8.2 Marquee events were all successful. All users have been asked for feedback which will be reviewed by the Environment Committee. An apology letter from the Chinnor Beer Festival was noted.

8.3 Correspondence from Taylor Wimpey with request for Maintenance Company to use car park at OKL when servicing the area – the Clerk to obtain more information and exact requirement details.

8.4 A request for a defib unit at Old Kiln lakes will be investigated with costings and locations.
