Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee held on Monday 15th July 2019

Public Question Time: 2 members of the public were present.

One member of the public requested information regarding the Persimmon Homes meeting on 24th July 2019 – Cllr Williams explained that no further information had been released on the meeting yet – it is just a date confirmed. As details become available in the public domain they will be detailed at a CPC meeting.

One member of the public attended to thank Cllr Williams for the assistance with speed check on Mill Lane, this was following a recent near miss with a toddler on the road at school drop off time. A request for advice regarding traffic calming measures and parked cars on Mill Lane.

Cllr Williams advised the group contact C/Cllr Matelot quickly, prior to the summer break.



Current situations

Bovis Homes – Pavement needs repair following BT connections – chasing OCC.

A2 Dominion / NK Homes – Residents moving in now. New roundabout and associated road works under investigation for quality control. Allotment area – The Clerk has been in contact with A2 Dominion regarding the proposal at Full Council for the land to be gifted to CPC for use as green space – still waiting for a reply.

Bloor Homes – New road layout now open! OCC has reviewed the new junction from old Mill Lane to new Mill Lane and widened by 1.3m. OCC still in talks with Bloor / ECL regarding the dates of road closure and whether it's a day or night.

Zebra crossing location has been moved – minor amendment.

Second car park possibly being removed and the land restored to open green space.

Bellway Homes – Concerns over pathway being blocked – under investigation.

Taylor Wimpey – The Carriages – all sold and occupied. Issues with bin emptying at play area being dealt with by TW.

Taylor Wimpey – OKL – CPC waiting on paperwork for land ownership agreements before the turning circle roadworks can be completed. Solicitors now appointed to finalise hand over (TW paying legal fees) Issues over grass cutting maintenance ongoing!

Persimmon Homes – 24th July 2019 – time to be confirmed.

Proposal: Part 2-storey part single storey rear extension (replacing existing Conservatory), partial garage conversion, new single storey front bay window and fenestration alterations to the existing house (as amended by plans received 21 June 2019)

CPC response dated 22-5-19: CPC Recommendation: No Objection - CPC has no objections, provided that the Planning Officers apply the correct rules to the light restriction to neighbouring properties, as this is a concern.
