Planning applications considered:
Application Ref: P19/S0024/FUL Amended
Proposal: The Barn House – partial demolition, rear extension and conversion of garage roof with dormer. Erection of 7 dwellings (as amended to reduce the number of dwellings and to alter the layout and design)
Address: The Barn House, 46 Lower Icknield Way
CPC Recommendation: Objection
CPC note the alterations in this amendment but they do not mitigate the original objections.
Contrary to NHP CH H1: Not a designated site and not an infill development
Not included in list of site allocations in CNHP CH H6
Adverse effect on the views over the AONB
Contrary to SODC design guide
Dangerous access point onto an already heavily congested and highly developed road.
Application Ref: P19/S2831/O
Proposal: Erection of two detached houses including access and layout.
Address: Littlewick House, Mill Lane
CPC Recommendation: Objection
Contrary to NHP CH H1: Not a designated site and not an infill development, as one side of this site is open playing field.
Not included in list of site allocations in CNHP CH H6
CPC would like to know the highways comment on this application.
Application Ref: P19/S3006/FUL
Proposal: Residential development of three dwellings with associated access.
Address: Land adjacent to 54 Lower Icknield Way
CPC Recommendation: Objection
Overdevelopment of this site.
Dangerous access point onto an already heavily congested and highly developed road
Insufficient visitor parking allocation.
From the plans it appears doubtful that the access road would be suitable for refuse vehicles.
Application Ref: P19/S2693/HH
Proposal: Single storey side and rear extension as an alternative to approved P18/S2986/HH
Address: 32 Rectory Meadow
CPC Recommendation: No Objection

Proposal: Half width rear extension at ground floor and 1.2m extension at first floor with associated roof and fenestration alterations. Demolition of existing garage at rear, new 3-bay garage to front and re posting of gates.

Address: Drovers farm, Henton
CPC Recommendation: No Objection
Application Ref: P19/S3184/FUL
Proposal: Construction of a bin store
Address: 40 Oakley Road
CPC Recommendation: No Objection
Currently the bin store, without permission, is taking up two parking spaces – the plans here show only 1 parking space lost for the new bin store – we need to ensure all only one parking space is used for this as parking is needed.
Application Ref: P19/S2366/O Amended
Proposal: Outline planning application for erection of a detached house, incorporating access, layout and scale and all other matters reserved (reduction from two to one dwelling, removal of garage and alterations to parking layout as shown on amended plans received 16th October 2019).
Address: 63 Lower Icknield Way
CPC Recommendation: Objection
It fails to meet CNP Policy: CH H1
It is not infill as there is only development on one side.
It does not have suitable parking and turning arrangements and does impact the local highway network, because of the nearness to the development at number 67.
Un-neighbourly form of development due to overlooking.
Planning Decisions: Permission Granted by SODC
