Road works / closures
You may have seen the two yellow signs which appeared on Mill Lane yesterday advising us all that the old and new Mill Lane will be closed from 22nd July for 9 days...
This was news to CPC (we found out by reading the sign!)
This was also news to OCC (they found out as CPC told them!)
As I type Bloor Homes, the contractor ECL and OCC are in discussions about this road closure.
OCC has not yet given the required permit and permissions for this closure... that saying, they might do before Monday – please be warned that the road MIGHT be closed!
As far as we know the following traffic lights and road works / closures are going ahead as planned as they all have the correct OCC permits...
17th July – 2 days – 2 way traffic lights on Church Road for Thames Water repairs.
24th July – 2 days – Wheeler End closed – for resurfacing of the carriageway
24th July to 3rd October – Station Road – multi way traffic light control for SGN gas pipe upgrade
25th July – 1 day – Glynswood to B4009 to Elm Drive closed – for resurfacing of the carriageway
26th July – 2 days – Greenwood Avenue to Glynswood to B4009 closed – for resurfacing of the carriageway
Station Road closure from 7th Oct to 29th November for further gas works – this might be delayed – details to follow soon once confirmed.
