FOLLOW THE STAR

On Saturday 15th December, Chinnor Community Church (CCC) will enact a roaming Carol Service - ´Star Walk´. This event is suitable for

all the family. Hot chocolate (optional) at 5.15 pm will be provided at the Sports Pavilion in readiness for the start of the first 'scene' of the

'Star Walk' (Carnival) at the shelter behind the Pavilion at 5.30 pm. Along the way various mini pop-up scenes can be experienced and

enjoyed depicting the Christmas Story. The route of the procession will follow up Station Road, along Church Road, down the High

Street until it finally comes to rest at 'The Stable' – Chinnor Community Church. Arriving at approximately 6.30 pm. Join in with

the Wise Men as they search for the Baby Jesus, see the reaction of Herod to the news of this new King, watch the shepherds on the

hillside as the angel tells of this birth. A Star will light the way and the manger will be carried to its resting place in the stable. Lanterns will

be available to carry, but torches are also recommended. The final scene will be played out in the garden of Chinnor Community

Church where those not wishing to walk can join in these proceedings. To rest our weary feet from the walk, inside the 'Stable'

there will be the opportunity to watch the film 'It's a Boy' and to sing carols rejoicing at the birth of Jesus. Mulled wine and mince pies will

end the evening.

Maps of the route are available to collect from the CPC office.
